How to Remove Pubic Hair - Methods

There are today many ways you can try to remove pubic hair. These methods include over the counter methods and those methods done by a doctor. Most hair removal methods lead to the re-growth of the hair.

Shaving pubic hair is one of the most common methods of pubic hair removal where the hair tends to re-grow after a month's time. Shaving usually leads to ingrown hairs in the pubic area. On trimming your pubic hair, take a shower, use cream, and shave in the direction of hair growth. Then exfoliate with a loofah and use anti-ingrown hair cream to avoid ingrown hair.

Bikini waxing is another method of pubic hair removal that can be done at home or by a professional in a salon. With bikini waxing, you get a cleaner and smoother finish to the pubic area which makes you look sexier and more erotic. However, bikini waxing is rather painful and is not advised for diabetics, pregnant and menstruating women, and those suffering from psoriasis and other skin conditions.

Of the different methods of pubic hair removal, laser hair removal is one of the longer-lasting methods that requires about 3-4 treatment sessions. Here a laser beam is used to destroy the hair bulb. This is an expensive and sometimes painful procedure and should be done by a doctor or technician who is highly trained in the field.

Depilation is another method for pubic hair removal where a depilatory cream is used only on the bikini line and outer labia. However, it is better to do a patch test before you actually use the product as some people are sensitive to creams and lotions. When choosing hair removal creams choose those specially meant for the removal of pubic hair as different chemicals in different products may lead to allergic reactions and superficial burns in the pubic area.
